You might notice:
- One side of the mouth sagging
- Difficulty smiling evenly
- Drooping eyelid
- Uneven facial expressions
Even if the symptom disappears after a few minutes, emergency evaluation is still necessary.
3. Difficulty Speaking or Understanding
A TIA may suddenly affect language.
Possible symptoms include:
- Slurred speech
- Difficulty finding words
- Confused speech
- Trouble understanding conversations
- Speaking words that don’t make sense
These symptoms often appear suddenly rather than gradually.
4. Sudden Vision Changes
Temporary vision problems can occur when blood flow to areas of the brain or eyes is interrupted.
People may experience:
- Blurred vision
- Double vision
- Sudden loss of vision in one eye
- Partial loss of vision
- Difficulty focusing
Any sudden change in vision should be treated as a medical emergency.
5. Sudden Loss of Balance or Coordination
Many mini strokes affect areas of the brain responsible for balance.
